As many as 400 examinees of an examination centre have missed attending the Korean language proficiency test due to wrong details of symbol numbers of students in the centre.
The examinees were deprived of attending the examination on the first day of the Employment Permission System (EPS) today.
The examinees with symbol number from 10072873 to 10073558 missed the chance to appear in the test due to misleading admit cards with incorrect symbol numbers in the Asian Institute of Management, Khumaltar.
A total of 75 thousand 580 people had applied for the EPS exams. Out of them, over 27 thousand applicants took the exam at 26 exam centres in the capital today. The rest will sit for the exam tomorrow. The exam is taking place in two shifts – morning and afternoon.
Only 10 thousand 200 of all those applicants taking the exams will be selected, including 6,200 in agriculture and 4,000 in the production sectors.
Among the applicants, 9,796 are female and 65,784 are male. A 55-member team has arrived here from Korea to conduct the EPS exam.
Meanwhile, police arrested five fake examinees in all from various exam centres today. RSS
