KAVRE: As many as 25 community school teachers have tendered their resignation at the District Education Office after the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority initiated investigation of their testimonials.

The CIAA had directed District Education Offices of all districts across the nation to probe the academic certificates and teaching licence of public school teachers two months ago after the Department of Education received complaints of teachers with fake certificates in schools of the districts.

District Education Office, Kavre, has accepted the resignation of teachers tendered on different dates in the past two months.

Teachers with permanent status, temporary, relief and PCF (Per Child Fund) teachers including head teachers have resigned from their posts, said school inspector Tula Mahat.

According to Mahat, majority of teachers who have resigned are from the primary level; whereas some of the teachers have already reached the age of retirement.
