Kathmandu University (KU) on Friday
organised a 20th convocation ceremony for 1,246 students of various
streams (excluding Medical students).
At the programme organised at KU, Dhulikhel today, the University conferred certificates on 191 graduates from School of Sciences, 259 from School of Engineering, 401 from School of Management, 70 from School of Education and 242 from School of Arts.
It also distributed certificates to 83 medical students who had missed the convocation ceremony organised for them on November 8. According to Kathmandu University, 41 foreigners are also graduated.
Meanwhile, students graduated in Engineering Ph.D., Biotechnology Ph.D. and Bachelor in Sciences for the first time in the University this year.

Bidya Sharma of Management and Rabi Dangol from Arts were honoured with
Rana Bahadur Shah Gold Medal and Vice-Chancellor Gold Medal
Speaking at the function, Ex-officio Chancellor of the University, Prime Minister Sushil Koirala, reiterated that the nation will get a new constitution by January 22, 2015.
He also expressed his confidence that educated youths can develop the nation toward a new height. "You have a responsibility for your nation's future," he said, "You can make your nation whatever you wish to make it."
