With the aim of addressing the demands of agitating part-time teachers of Tribhuvan University, the Cabinet today decided to create 1,420 posts of contractual teachers. .

According to Minister for Commerce Min Bishwakarma, the teachers will be allowed to participate in the exam to be conducted by Tribhuvan University Service Commission for permanent appointment..

Agitating teachers affiliated to Nepal Part-Time Teachers' Association had been staging a strike for a month demanding contractual appointment. They accused the government of discriminating against them, despite their equal contribution to the university. .
