14 schools of Simikot have been reconstructed under a special program of the rural municipality. The community development program that has been working in the field of income and infrastucture development from last 3 years built the schools.
Chairman of the manangement committee of Bal Mandir School, Gora Rawat has said that the students are getting a much better experience of learning after the construction of the school building.
Along with the classrooms, the school has also built three additional rooms for commercial purpose. School is earning NPR 29,000 from the commercial rooms which has helped it to provide salary to the teachers.
District Coordinator of the program, Raj Bahadur Rokaya has informed that 3 roomed 14 buildings have been built under the 21 infrastructure requirement presented by the program.
The schools that have been reconstructed are the Saipal Sec. School, Bal Mandir Sec. School, Man Sarobar Sec. School, Khirpani Primary School of Naamkha, Hilsha Naudhara Preliminary School of Kharpunath, Rara Primary School, Nava Jyoti Primary School of Chankheli and Sarkideu Primary School of Adanchuli.
Along with the schools, three drinking water supplies, two health centres and a pump irrigation system have also been built by the program.
