CELTA (Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) is an initial qualification for people with little or no previous teaching experience and is one of the most widely taken qualifications of its kind. Over 10,000 people each year choose CELTA to open up a whole world of exciting English language teaching opportunities. It is a worldwide recognized qualification by organizations which employ English language teachers and is validated by Cambridge University, UK.
British Council Nepal is looking for two qualified English Language Teachers for a CELTA course in Colombo, Sri Lanka – fully funded by British Council.
The funding will include the following
-Basic living costs
Course date: 5-30 November 2012
Basic requirement for applying
Applicants must be teaching English at present and have at least two years full time teaching experience.
-A lesson plan for a 60 minute lesson on any area of the English language
-A write-up on “why you wish to do the CELTA” in 100 words.
