    Prithvi Narayan Multiple Campus, one of the largest campus (on the basis of students number) is a government campus to the northern part of Pokhara Sub-Metropolis on its own peaceful premises. It has been striving to come up as a bench-mark in the national educational milieu.
     
    This academic institution was initially established in Sept 1, 1960 as the first community inter college of the region by the academic intellectuals, social workers on the demand of students. It faced lots of challenges in the initial phases. As it didn’t have its own building, it ran its academic programmes in Girls’ School at Nadipur. Then it moved to a public building of Narayansthan but now, it has its own complex at Bhimkali Patan, Bagar. The college, began in a shaky hut in the past, possess modern infra-structure today. There were only two lecturers and thirteen students in the initial phase when the college launched its academic programmes. It ran its programmes in the night shift only at that time. As time passed the local intelligentsia, social workers and the then principal Mr. George John did not let any stone unturned to make it an exemplary college in Nepal.
    The local people and the principal’s incessant hard work, co-operation from all the sides helped this institution develop the infra-structures which enabled it to launch various academic programmes.
     
     
    When the campus had its own spacious complex and the physical structure, it introduced newer academic programmes. After the implementation of new education plan an July 16, 1973 in the higher study, this college got recognition as one of the important campuses under Tribhuvan University. In accordance with the T.U. decentralization act 2055 (B.S.) the campus elected a management committee in Sept. 1999 and the very committee has been looking after all the managerial works like construction of physical infra-structure, making rules, working plan and economic policies. There is an executive committee of five members under the management committee. Besides, a standing committee under the management committee has been looking after every day affairs of the campus.
     
     
    The history of the campus indicates that the local elites’, social workers’ incessant efforts and the then principal’s perseverance, his devotion to the institution his inclusive and mild nature have become an impetus to amalgamate all the working lecturers, students, non-government organizations in one to make it an exemplary campus in Nepal.
