GEMS (Graded English Medium School) was established in 1984 A. D. at Sanepa, Lalitpur, and in 2000 A.D., we shifted all our senior classes as well as the boarding sector to our own complex spread over 110 ropanies of land situated at Khumaltar, Dhapakhel, Lalitpur. The new complex has international standard academic buildings supported by state-of-the-art facilities and ample playgrounds for games and sports. The Higher Education Building is one of the main academic wings, in which GEMS has been successfully running international programmes like GCE A’ Level under the University of Cambridge, the UK and the BS/MD (Bachelor of Science leading to Doctor of Medicine) programme under the affiliation with Angeles University Foundation, the Philippines since 2008.

GEMS is situated in a secluded, calm and serene environment amidst picturesque backdrop, and it is easily accessible from all parts of the Kathmandu valley by public transportation. In the course of its journey for more than two and half decades in education, GEMS has not only imparted quality education to students, but it has also expanded itself from school level to undergraduate level, and has offered programmes from Arts and Humanities to Management stream and pure Science to Medical Science thereby establishing itself as one of the best educational institutions in the country.
