The Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology (MoEST), Government of Nepal, invites applications for the National STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) Competition 2082.
This annual competition aims to encourage university students to design and develop innovative STEAM-based materials or solutions that address real-world challenges in Nepal.
Who Can Apply
Teams of up to three students currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s level or higher program in any recognized university, constituent, or affiliated campus/college in Nepal.
Competition Process
Stage 1: Concept Submission
Interested students or teams must submit their concept proposal in the prescribed format: Format of Application
Applications must be properly certified, scanned, and emailed to innovation@moest.gov.np no later than Mangsir 7, 2082 (November 23, 2025).
Late or incomplete submissions will not be considered.
Stage 2: Prototype Development
Selected teams will advance to the second phase and will be given five months to develop a working prototype or material based on their submitted idea.
Each selected team will receive up to NPR 1,50,000 in financial support for project development.

Modernization of indigenous/traditional technologies
Water scarcity in agriculture
Earthquake-resistant buildings using local materials
