Grading SystemThe grading system will be as prescribed by Purbanchal University:Third Division : 40% and aboveSecond Division : 50% and aboveFirst Division : 60% and aboveDistinction : 75% and above

Eligibility

A graduate with B.Ed degree either one year, two years or three years from Purbanchal University or a university recognized by Purbanchal University will be eligible to apply for admission in M.Ed. Program.

Curricular Structure

The M.Ed. course can be put under the major categories .viz .Core Course which carry 300 full marks Specialization Course (550 full mark )including Elective Course (50 full marks)carry altogether 600 full marks And Obligatory Course including Teaching Practice and Thesis Writing ,which carry 50 marks each . The following table shows the courses with their full marks distribution.

Note: One credit hour represents 16 class room lectures.Student can specialize in any one of the following subject s provide that they have basic background knowledge in the subject:

In addition to specialize in any one of these subjects, the students of this programme are required to conduct independent research work and participate in teaching and the each related activities (practicum). Both the thesis writing and practicum have to be related to the specialization subjects of the student.
