Executive MBA (EMBA) of Kathmandu University is a post-experience management education program that helps managers learn to change and grow in career - not outside it.  It is designed for working professionals who wish to fight obsolescence and improve management and leadership capability to get ahead.

 The KUSOM EMBA program is an intensive two-year course, stretched over six terms, with every academic year having three terms: 

  1. Spring Term (February - May),
  2. Summer Term (June - September);
  3. Fall Term (October - January)

The EMBA curriculum is designed to enrich both theoretical and practical knowledge in management while helping them to enhance the depth and breadth of their managerial capabilities. It contains the best and the latest in management knowledge and practice to keep participants updated with the evolving nature and challenges of management profession from the perspective of practitioners.

 

Eligibility

Program Requirement

KUSOM EMBA is open to Nepali and non-Nepali nationals with 

  1. Three years of work experience at the supervisory / managerial level
  2. A Bachelor’s degree of at least two years’ duration in any discipline with second division in aggregate.  

Selection Process

Upon submission of the completed application form with two letters of recommendations, transcripts of previous degrees, and the payment of admission test, the Admission Committee administers the admission process.

Selection of the candidates is based on:   

  1. Scores on the KUSOM Management Admission Test (verbal and quantitative reasoning, and proficiency in English language),
  2. written English test, and
  3. personal interview;
  4. Relevant and productive managerial experience; and
  5. Merit of academic attainments up to the undergraduate level

Total Corporate Sponsorship Package 425000

*  RS 5,000 is to be added as caution money that will be returned after completion of the program.

# RS 30,000 is to be added for providing lunch and snacks during the entire program.

  1. The amount is payable in 11 installments for Individual EMBA package and 5 Installments for corporate sponsor package.
  2. For students from SAARC countries, one and half times of the normal fee;
  3. For students from other countries, double the normal fee.
  4. These expenses do not include cost of books and stationary, accommodation, or any other personal expenses.
  5. The fee charged by the School are subject to change without prior notification.

Education Loan

With view to seek best qualified students, regardless of their financial status, KUSOM provides assistance to get loan from the selected banks.
