  •  Course of Study for Master of Science in Geology (M.Sc Geology)   meets the contemporary needs of  our country Nepal as well  as it is at par with the international standards.The main aim of the Course is to create professionals having in-depth knowledge and skills in the field of geology. Apart from it, the Course also aims at producing specialists able to follow integrated and multi-disciplinary approaches in their profession.

    After the completion of the M.Sc. course in geology, the students will be qualified as geologists with specialization in either of the following fields:

    • Exploration and Mining Geology or
    • Hydrogeology
    • Engineering Geology

    They will be able to carry out the professional work, research, and/or advanced studies independently in their respective fields.MSC I Year Curriculum (Full Marks=500)

    • Igneous and metamorphic Petrology  (Theory: 70, Practical: 30)
