    Bachelor of arts in development studies (BADS) is one of the most interesting interesting subjects in social sciences.IT covers various components of economice,socilogy,population,spatial planning,gender,and governance,which help to analyze different aspecs of development. BADS is a four year academic program spread over eight semesters with a total of 129 credit hours.

    Bachelor of arts in development studies (BADS) program provides methods and techniques to analyze various problems of society through the tachings of theories and models, and the practical approaches.

    Bachelor of arts in development studies (BADS) aims to prepare humman resources for overall developmant of the society.the program produces devlopment and social experts to solve the social problems of national and sub-national levels (communities, municipalities,and regions).it teaches the tools and techniques related to economic growth,social and human development,and overall prosperity.

    Objectives of the Programs
     The Bachelor of arts in development studies (BADS) program has been designed to

    1. Develop the academic skills and attitudes necessary to comprehend and evaluate the concepts of social and economic development
    2. Assist students to solve various problems in the society by means of practical approaches using models and innovative solutions.
    3. Develop the ability to review, consolidate, extend, and apply the knowledge and techniques to real situations; and
    4. Impart students the principles and practices, challenges, and opportunities of development for making the society prosperous and advance.

     

     

    Eligibility

    Passed 10+2 or equivalent from any faculty 

    The  Bachelor of Arts in Development Studies (BADS )courses constitute 126 credit hours spreading over eight semesters. A total of 2268 hours are required to earn the Bachelor of Arts in Development Studies (BADS) degree of Pokhara University.

    Career Prospects:
    Bachelor of arts in development studies (BADS) graduates have an open opportunities in various fields of development and social work. There is a huge demand for mid level development professionals and development workers in various development fields like International Development Agencies including UN agencies, International Non-Governmental Organisations (INGOs), Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs), Community Based Organisations (CBOs) and civil societies. There is a huge demand of development professionals in government funded development projects also. In addition there is a high prospects to pursue further studies within and outside the country.

    Camad College enrolls fresh students in BDevS program once a year, August/September.On completion of all requirements with CGPA of 2.0 or higher, a student will be awarded a degree of Bachelor of Arts in Development Studies. Students who have successfully completed higher secondary, intermediate examination or equivalent from a recognized college/university board with minimum second division are eligible to apply.

    Application Procedure for  BDEVs Program

    Candidates applying for BDEVs program need to submit the application form along with their copy of academic certificates and transcript within the given deadlines. Students must attend in the written test conducted by the College on pre-specified dates. Once students are successful in Admission Test, they will be invited for Personal Interviews. The admission committee considers a candidate’s potential for success in the College. Camad College reserves all rights regarding admissions decisions, and the decisions one made by the College will be final. All successful candidates are informed about the admission in time.Finally, candidates need to visit administration office for his/her admission along with already prescribed first installment of the program.
