ABOUT

Training Institute for Technical Instruction (TITI) traces its origins to ‘Technical Instructors Training Institute’ that was established as a Nepali national institute in 1991, with the assistance of the Swiss Government, Swiss Agency for Development & Cooperation (SDC) through Swisscontact, the Swiss Foundation for Technical Cooperation. 

TITI is devoted to meeting the nationwide training needs of technical, managerial human resources and curriculum developers of Technical Education and Vocational Training (TEVT) sector. TITI programs and services are mandated by an Act of the Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT).

TITI has conducted training programs, provided TEVT consultancies and other services to Technical Cooperation-Federal Republic of Germany (GTZ), Department for International Development (DFID), Netherlands Development Organization (SNV), ILO/UNDP, SDC, UNICEF, ADRA, SOS, NCED, Aga Khan Foundation, UNFPA, ADB  and other national and international organizations in Nepal and abroad.

Human capacity development is our mission. TITI contributes distinctly to the quality of programs and services of Technical and Vocational Education and Training by means of training, education and research.

Vision:

TITI is a "Center of Excellence" to develop human resource capacity for Technical and Vocational Education and Training in Asia and beyond.

Salient Features

TITI has trained over 26,000 instructional, managerial and curriculum developers from various countries such as Afghanistan, Albania, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Burkina Faso, India, Indonesia, Kosovo, Mali, Moldova, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri-Lanka, Switzerland, Uganda, Vietnam, and Zimbabwe. TITI has conducted training programs, provided TEVT consultancies and other services to Technical Cooperation-Federal Republic of Germany (GTZ), Department for International Development (DFID), Netherlands Development Organization (SNV), ILO/UNDP, SDC, UNICEF, ADRA, SOS, NCED, Aga Khan Foundation, UNFPA, ADB and other national and international organizations in Nepal and abroad.


Admission Guidelines

Eligibility:

For B. Tech. Ed. program

The minimum prerequisite for this program is a 2 years Technician Certificate or Intermediate or Diploma in related Technical Subjects.

The details are-

1. PCL equivalent diploma or an intermediate in related technical subject (≥ 2nd division) from a recognized institute with SLC (≥ 2nd division); or

2. A two year Technician Certificate in related technical subject (≥ 70%) from a recognized institute with SLC (≥ 2nd division); or

3. An intermediate level in related technical subject (≥ 2nd division) from a recognized institute with TSLC in related technical subject (≥ 70%); or

4. A 2-year Technician Certificate (TC) in related technical subject from a recognized institute (≥ 70%) with TSLC in related technical subject (≥ 70%).

General Educational Knowledge test: This is a written objective test to assess the applicant's knowledge in Mathematics, Science and English corresponding to intermediate / 10+2 Levels.

Oral assessment (test): This assessment focuses on the applicant's aptitude, related work experience, career goals, personal presentation skills and financial support.
