Applicants are required to appear in the examination conducted by the campus. Students must secure a minimum of 40% in the examination in order to qualify for the enrollment. Established in 1990 (2048 B.S.), Kalika Multiple Campus (KMC) is a community campus that came into existence through the collaborative efforts of local academics and social activists. Operating as a nonprofit autonomous institution, it is affiliated with both Tribhuvan University (TU) and the National Examinations Board (NEB) in Nepal. Recognizing the importance of quality assurance, the campus has taken steps to pursue accreditation by submitting relevant documents to the "Quality Assurance and Accreditation" (QAA) division of the University Grants Commission (UGC). UGC's support plays a vital role in the continuous development of the campus.
KMC has been successfully running academic programs in full compliance with the teaching/learning standards specified by both TU and UGC. An additional milestone achieved by KMC is being the first campus in the Gandaki province to offer a Master's Degree in Rural Development Studies (MARDS) affiliated with TU.
