Teaching Learning Methods at Sunway International Business School

Tough competition is the name of the game in today’s context and providing environment to make our students competitive is what we really strive for. Providing such environment is made possible by letting them expand their horizon of thought processing. In each class and every time the students come in contact with the facilitators (the teachers only facilitate for the understanding of the students), they need to be excited to share what they already know or what they want to know. We believe this should be the learning methodology best practiced and so have accepted this as one of our core values.

At Sunway, we believe that learning is best done when the process is carried out in a fun and friendly atmosphere and when the learners understand the practical implications of what they are learning. So we are more focused on providing such welcoming experience through providing an accommodating environment to all our students helped with experienced facilitators. All our classes are run using multi-media which aid in audio-visual learning experience. We have quite a sizeable library stacked with course books and reference books and a well-equipped lab, besides the wi-fi zone aiding our students and facilitators to be in touch with the web anywhere they want within the college premises. 

Our facilitators are quite aware of the fact that teaching-learning experience is more fulfilling when students keep themselves updated with conceptual knowledge of each subject and they are further polished with analytical exercises through case studies, assignments, quizzes, project works, researches and presentations. In fact, these are the bases for our idea of digging out the best of one’s potential.

To further bolster the confidence of our students, we carry out seminars, trainings and presentations inviting guests from various fields of corporate sectors and entrepreneurs as well. They are also given the opportunity of internships to actually replicate the theoretical knowledge in practical grounds.

Admission is made twice a year in Jan/Feb and July/Aug. Sunway International Business School (SIBS) works on semester system and examinations are conduced by PTU (Punjab Technical University) twice a year in September and March respectively. The counseling is held at the premises of Sunway and the candidates should contact the Counselor and must carry attested photocopies of their testimonials. Admission test will be conducted and the admissions are done for those students who qualify in the admission test subject to availability of seats/course at Sunway. Moreover submission of form does not ensure admission i.e. only confirmed upon allotment of the roll no. from the University.

The students are required to pay enrollment & semester fee along with the examination fee as per the fee structure of the College. The payment may be made in cash or by account payee cheque in the name of Sunway International Business School.

Admission open for Fall 2012

Admissions process have started at Sunway from July 1, 2012 for BBA, MBA and MSc.IT. Forms are being distributed at the college and interested candidates can collect the form or fill in the details with us. Key dates are as follows.

Forms distribution and submission: August 10, 2012

Entrance examinations (BBA & MBA): August 11 and 18, 2012

Scholarships:

Sunway  International Business School provides scholarships on the basis of the candidates’ past academic performance and their performance in the entrance examinations. In addition to that, for the motivation of the students, the topper of any semester is provided with scholarships of upto 50% in the following semester. Besides, students are provided scholarships on the following bases.

·         Economically backward and students from remote areas

·         Students who have proven record of excellence in sports and extra-curricular activities
