KIC is affiliated to Purbanchal University, under the management of Kantipur Hotel Management College (KHMC) established in 2000 with motto of providing job oriented professional education in Hotel Management in order to produce high quality and capable professional, Business Administrators and Entrepreneur who are capable of meeting challenging needs of modern era.

Inspired by the immense achievement in targeted goal, KIC extended its programs in both axis, subsequently introducing first in Nepal Bachelor in Interior Design (BID) in 2003, Bachelor in Hotel and Catering Management (BHCM) in 2005, and Master in Hospitality Management (MHM) in 2009. Other faculties which is successfully running in KIC are: Bachelor in Business Administration (BBA)- 2009, Bachelor in Engineering of Civil and Architecture (B. Arch) – 2010.

The library at Kantipur International College (KIC) provides a high standard of learning resources for students. It has a large collection of books for the entire programme taught on college. In addition to various articles, journals and reference materials the library has about Sufficient copies of books per subject leaving a total of more than 10,000 books available for the students. The college has extensive ties with many other libraries in KIC, offering additional services for research students. The student common area is equipped with canteen and students can relax during breaks. There is a wide variety of food available at canteen. The common area also has information boards, offering listings of the fascinating range of leisure/ extra activities, co-curricular activities which KIC has to offer, such as poem competition, quiz contest, indoors and outdoors game events etc.

Candidates seeking admissions in Kantipur International College must pass entrance examination tests of Purbanchal University as well as college's group discussion and interview. The final and ultimate decision regarding the admission is taken by admission committee.

BE Civil/B. Arch: +2 in science/intermediate in Science/intermediate in engineering from recognized board or university with minimum 45%.

Kantipur International College since its establishment, has attempted to make higher education accessible for minorities, underprivileged, poor students from every corner of the country. The scholarship is provided in various categories in each program. But, to get scholarship the students must submit the original/authentic document of certification.

The Kantipur International College also has got motivational scholarship packages for the students having outstanding result in HSEB examination and the entrance test topper.
