ABOUT

Bright Mid-Western Agriculture and Forestry Campus is located at Birendranagar -6, Airport, Surkhet. It offers a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture (B.SC Ag) under the affiliation from Agriculture and Forestry University.

This is the first and only one campus of Karnali province of Nepal which runs the B.Sc Ag program. Not only that the campus is in the verge of running the Bsc Forestry Program. The main objectives of the institute are to develop quality manpower and also help in agriculture extension and research in the province; design and implement educational programs with appropriate balance between established and emerging needs in the agricultural sector.

Aims:

The campus aims at producing highly skilled human resources required to guilty research of development in Agriculture and raise the socio-economic condition of people through quality teaching, research of extension.

Mission:

The mission of the Campus is to produce competent manpower to promote education research of development in agriculture.

Library

Bright Madhyapachhim Krishi Tatha Ban Bigyan Campus (BMKTBC) library is a resource center for the college's community of students, faculty, and staff to reference major textbooks and other materials to enhance their studies and research. The college offers various books as well as an E-library featuring international and national journals on agriculture, and other allied subjects.

BMKTBC is aware of the rapid changes taking place in the information and communication sector and has adopted a policy to make the internet available for searching and downloading useful references.

Field-Based Internship

For the first-semester agriculture program students, a report is needed to be prepared by being part of the field-based internship. The main intention of this internship is to broaden the perspective of the students by imparting practical knowledge based on the theoretical course of study. The internships take place at various agro-based industries, research farms, laboratories, NGOs/INGOs operating in different agro-ecological conditions.

Research and Training

Bright Madhypaschim Krishi Tatha Ban Bigyan Campus has been carrying out various research programs based on the needs of different developmental, governmental, and non-governmental along with personal organizations. This allows for the fulfillment of the demand for numerous concerned sectors, farming communities, agro-industries, and developmental institutions/workers.
