Social Science Research and Academic Writing

The primary objective of this course is to train post-graduate Nepali students in social science research and academic writing.

At the end of the course, the participants will be able to produce at least two out of the following three outputs:

(a) detailed research proposal that will meet the standard for MPhil or PhD applications,
(b) thesis/dissertation chapter that can be included in an ongoing thesis/dissertation and 
(c) draft academic paper that can be published in a peer-reviewed academic journal.

Basic Qualification: Master's Degree and proficient in English

• Duration: 18 Weeks (starting 21 August 2012)
• Timing: 7:30 am to 9:00 am (two days a week)
• Fee: Rs. 5000 (Limited partial fee waivers are available for deserving candidates.)
• Application fee: Rs. 100/-
