Minister Sharma vows to improve quality of govt schools

MORANG: Minister for Education Dinanath Sharma has said that effective steps would now be taken to improve the quality of government-run schools in the country.

Inaugurating a new building of the Durga Higher Secondary School at Majhare in Morang here today, he said the Government was introducing various plans for quality improvement including appointment skilled teachers and giving permanent status to temporary teachers through an internal assessment.

He also said teaching English subjects right from the primary school level in government schools could add some attraction to the schools.

Meanwhile, speaking at an interaction organised by the ANNFSU-Revolutionary, Eastern Regional Committee on ways to improve the Purbanchal University, Minister Sharma pointed out the need for collective efforts in order to restore the good image of the University.
