The Association of Nepalese Mathematicians in America (ANMA), an umbrella organisation of Nepali mathematics in the US, is scheduled to hold its first general assembly in New Mexico, USA through conference call on January 22.
According to a press statement issued by the ANMA, the assembly will replace an ad hoc committee formed last May with a working committee for two years.
The ANMA aims to serve as a common forum for Nepali PhD students and professors of mathematics from all around the world and facilitate their research on mathematical sciences, said Deepak Basyal, deputy coordinator of ANMA.
