BScCST Admission Open at Madan Bhandari University of Science and Technology (MBUST) for 2026 Intake

Madan Bhandari University of Science and Technology (MBUST), Institute of Applied Sciences, Chitlang, Thaha Municipality-9, Bagmati Province, is inviting applications for admission to the Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Technology (BScCST) under its Digital Technology Program.

The four-year undergraduate BScCST program is designed to prepare students for the rapidly evolving digital economy and emerging technology sectors. The program combines theoretical foundations, practical learning, research-oriented education, and industry-focused training in areas such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Data Science, Internet of Things (IoT), Robotics, and digital technologies.

With an emphasis on outcome-based education, project-based learning, and research-integrated teaching, the program aims to develop graduates who are industry-ready, innovative, and capable of contributing to Nepal’s digital transformation and global technology advancement.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must fulfill any one of the following criteria:

• Completed Grade 12 / School Leaving Certificate with Mathematics and Physics as optional subjects with a minimum CGPA of 2.75 out of 4.
• Completed A Levels in Mathematics and Physics, achieving a grade C or above in each subject.
• Completed Diploma in Engineering with Second Division or above.
• Equivalent qualifications recognized by the university.

Applicants below the required CGPA may also apply if they demonstrate exceptional academic merit. The university will evaluate such applications during the selection process.

Application Process

Interested students can apply through the university’s online application portal.

Applicants need to:

1. Complete the online application form.
2. Pay the application fee of Rs. 500.
3. Upload/submit required documents.
4. Participate in the written examination and interview process.

Applications submitted through hard copies or scanned documents will not be accepted.

Selection Process

Students will be selected based on a combination of academic performance, personal statement, writing skills, and interview performance.

The university will first shortlist applicants based on academic performance and personal statement scores. Final admission will be based on the overall performance.

Fee Structure and Scholarship

Tuition Fee:

• Rs. 100,000 per semester
• Total tuition fee for 8 semesters: Rs. 800,000

The tuition fee covers:

• Instruction costs
• Laboratory consumables and supplies
• Examination expenses

Additional Deposits:

• Registration Fee: Rs. 25,000 (Non-refundable)
• Refundable Deposit: Rs. 50,000
• Refundable Security Deposit: Rs. 25,000

Additional expenses, such as transportation and other personal costs, are covered by students.

Scholarship Opportunities

MBUST provides full tuition fee waivers to 10% of admitted students from disadvantaged groups.

Applicants applying for scholarship support must:

• Submit scholarship applications with valid documents proving disadvantaged group status before the interview date.
